Here is a very lovely pendant bead from ancient Egypt in the shape of a lotus flower. Made of a red stone, possibly jasper. It dates to the New Kingdom period circa 1,250 BC.
The setting is 14 kt gold. The chain is a high end gold plate. Length: 18"
